David, "Dr Dave" Parker is a life long sailor, and author of several maritime works among which is the classic " Ocean Voyaging".He has written signed pieces for Time-Life Books..  He has designed and built two ocean going yachts. He has skippered five Hawaii crossings and innumerable offshore jaunts along the Mexican coast and in the Gulf Of Mexico. He participated in ocean racing as well ,winning a third and a first in the Ensenada race, and crewing on world champion Man-o-War in the P-C class. He was foredeck man on Siren, winner of the  I.O.R. Overton series.

He began designing wind vane steering systems in 1967. Several of his vanes have made voyages to Tahiti, Hawaii, and one circumnavigated.  He published several designs in "Ocean Voyaging" in 1975. 
Not being satisfied with the current crop of pendulum systems he researched and designed a servo pendulum system that solved many of the problems associated with them...It is this final design which has been tested, sailed, and improved over the years  to become the final "Pathfinder" ...
Dr Dave is currently "beached" due to the after effects of an anchoring accident and  the aging process.
